Went to the mall.

 This afternoon Christopher,Jake and me went to the  Roosevelt mall. This is the first time  for me to come here.First we ate  some Chinese food.I think it was great, I liked it.One thing I was confused that the waitresses there were Chinese. When I asked them : Can you speak Chinese? ,and they said :yes. Then I tired to speak Chinese with them.To  my surprise, They did not even want to talk to me in Chinese. They just answered my question in English. I really could not understand them. So bad~~~.Anyway, we three had fun in the mall. We looked all the stores there.  They all so wonderful. I like it. Jake made fun of me during the whole time.>.< He is a really funny boy.We will go there together next time.

    Were the workers born in the U.S.? If so, they might just not speak well, or they might think of themselves as primarily English speakers. It's a shame, though. Which store was your favorite? Did you buy anything? Is it the largest mall you've ever been in? I'm glad you had a good time.

    I am not sure.I think they look down on us.I did not buy anything,I just have a look. I think this mall is very small compared with the mall in Manhattan.

    Which mall do you mean? I think Roosevelt Field is the biggest mall in the area. When you write about a Manhattan "mall," do you just mean all the stores in Manhattan?
